ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

Per Press Association. Nnw Plymouth, April 13. A young man named Thomas Coldrick, aged 21 years, was killed in the bush'at Carrington E )ad Sawmill this afternoon. He was jacking logs on trucks when the jack slipped and the log rolling on him crushed his head and shoulders, death being instantaneous. The body was much mangled.

April 13. " A brother of Coldrick, who was killed at a sawmill ou Carrington road yesterday, was brought to the hospital the same afternoon having sustained very severe injury to one of his eyes. He is a coachbuiidor at Inglewood, aud a splinter from a bar of iron he was cutting flew into his eye. Tho two accidents occurred at almost the same time. Gisbokne, April 12. Henry Willoughby, aged 86, died suddenly in bed at Patutahi. He retired at 8.30 apparently in good health, aud on his wife waking at C this morning she found he was dead. Dunedin, April 12. A well known resident of many years standing, named Franz Beissel, was found dead in his bed last night. .Beissel for a long time carried on business as a hairdresser. Ohakune, April 13. John Elliott was found dead in his whare lying half dressed near the chimney yesterday.
