New Ships for Japan,
Press Association—Copyright. London, April 12. A Dreadnought has been ordered in England by Japan, to he completed in 1909. She will carry 13 12-iuch ; 10 8-2 inch, 13 4'7 inch guns. A sister ship is building in Japan. (Japan is apparently not following the example of ' Britain iu having guns of one calibre only on her Dreadnoughts.) A native report states that China’s new navy will cost annually 13 million taels aud will include a dozen submarines. Woolwich Arsenal workmen received with their discharges, information respecting the colonies aud foreign countries.
