Messrs Abraham and "Williams report on their Johnsonville sale as follows:—A full entry of prime bullocks made up to 21s; best bullocks, ,£9 12s 6d to £9 15s; others, ,£8 10s to .£9 7s 6d ; lighter, .£8 to ,£8 7s Gd. A fair yarding of sheep of prime quality were equal to last week's rates. Best wethers 18s 7d, others 17s Id to 17s 6d, ewes 15s lOd to 16s.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report that at tliier Hiinatangi sale on Monday they had a full yarding of both sheep and cattle. A large number of buyers were present and a good sale resulted, all the sheop being quitted at satisfactory values under the hammer.. All the cattle with the exception of two pens were sold at current rates, also at auction. Quotations. —Sheep: Cull lambs 4s Od, woolly lambs 9s Bd, cull ewes 6s lOd to 8s 7(1, sound mouth ewes 12s Cd to 13s lOd, fat ewes 14s 7d. Cattle: 18-months heifers 23s Cd, weaners 17s, store cows 87s 6d, fat, cows £3 us to £4 Is, springing heifers £o, yearling steers 345, 2-year steers £2 4s to £2 13s.
