FEILDING FIRE BRIGADE.
The above met last eyening^ex-Captain Saywell presiding. A special committee, from Feildirig Borough Council, consist ing of Crs Bichmond, Burne, and West, appointed to meet the Brigade regarding the vesting of Brigade property in the Council, waited upon the meeting. *They were informed that if satisfactory arrangements were made for vesting tho property that the Brigade had no objections. Tim Brigade appointed a conmiitt6e to raeeu members of the Council and draw up conditions. The Council representatives wcrp asked if they would hand ovor the, uniforms held by the Council, as it wag necessary in tho ovent of a flro taking place. Cr West promised to have the uniforms handed over next day. Tho Chairman informed the Council representatives that all such charges as delegates' expenses wore taken from donations which had never been overdrawn, Ex-Captain Cleland wasoleeted arneiuber of tho Brigado by ballot, the voting being 17 to 3. Mr G. H. Saywell was tho only nomi 7 nation for position of captain. The elec T tioa will take place at next meeting.
