FIRES AT THE EXHIBITION.
Per Press Association. Wellington, Ap ill G The Times publishes an article this morning in which it is asserted that three incipient fires have occurred at the Exhibition during the past week, and that some of the insurance companies are considering the question of cancelling risks if any further fires occur. It is considered that the fire risks during the closing days of the Exhibition are, very groat, as, apart from the inadequacy of the fire appliances, a fire would suit many insured exhibitors very much better than the trouble of removing their exhibits. A recent visit of insurance representatives to test the fire alarms, etc., proved most disquieting.
