Stock Market
Per Press Association, CiiKiKTCHti'iiOif, April 4, At the Addingtou market to-day. though the yarding of stock was good, it was' not up to that of the previous week, with the exception of cattle, but prices generally were unchanged. The store sheep market was keen, hut there was little change from last week's prices. The fat sheep pens contained some sheep of good quality, but a fair proportion consisted of unfinished lots, which were not keenly sought after, although well finished sorts brought good values. There was a large entry of pigs, and prices for baeouers were somewhat better than last week. Store Sheep.'—There was a good entry, and the sale was keen. Forward lambs showed an advance on late rates, aud other classes were about the same-. Dalgety aud Co., Ltd., report on their usual fortnightly sale at Marton as follows:—There was a fair yarding of sheep and a small yarding of cattle. Bidding for lambs was brisk the whole yarding being cleared under the hammer.
