A serious explosion of dynamite occurred yesterday at the Drietfontein Consolidated Mine, on the Baud. j The men employed m the mine were j being mustered, when two cases of dyna- | mite exploded with terrific force. j Four*whites and fifty natives _ were > killed, and throe whites and sixteen ; natives injured. It is surmised that the explosion was caused through some natives tampering with the dynamite.
