FIRE BRIGADES’ DEMONSTRATION.

There wore four challenge shields competed for at the recent fire brigades competitions, three presented by Shand, Mason and Co., London, for the highest aggregate number of pointsffor the high pressure events and for manual events, and one by Speight and Go., of Dunedin, for the manual engine event for five men.
