T-T. •Atkinson and Co., Feilding, reprt:—At our monthly sale on Thursday we offered a useful ■catalogue, comprising 21 hales and 150 bag lots of wool, 1500 skins, 400 hides, 15 casks and i 0 tins of rallow also bones, horsehair, '/to. There was «i good attendance 'of buyers and :-, I keen sale. The wool consisted i mostly of late shorn lots and oddments. Fleece wool fold on a par with last sale, pieces, etc., showing an increase -of yiji to ~ ; <d oil last rates. Hides were" in strong demand and sold at au advarv- of yjfi.. ■Butchers' tallow readied the highest leveL yet obtained at this sale, making -up to £2G .V>s per ton. Other lines sold at good values. Cattle met wirTi a somewhat dragging' sale, but most lines were quitted by the cud of the day. There was a good dei;i:;nd for sheep, and with tbc exception of one line all lots were sold. There was a fair inquiry for rams, and a good a number were sold. Quotations : Sheep: Store lambs 7s 4d to 9s. aged ewes 10s 7d tolls, sound month ewes 15s 9d, forward wethers 16s 3d. Messrs Dalgety and Company, ; Ltd., report on their usual weekly sale at Palmerston as follow*:—There was a smaller attendance of buyers than usual at the sales to-day. We had a very good entry of sheep, principally ewes, also a fair yarding cf cattle.
