In the House of Lords Lord Denbigh raised the Homo Kulo debate and elicted from Lord Crewe tho statement that the Bill was for further extension of 'sGifgroverjiment. Lord Loreburn declared that he would never support Home Eulo except in the shape of a subordinate Parliament. They were unable to touch Irish government without a slip towards Home Rule. He hoped that a great change would come 1 iff ore long effecting 'complete reco.nciliation, g,s iit Canada, and, ho trusted,'in South Africa. He claimed that Government wf],s not solitary in proposing to deal with Irish government 'otherwise than by Home Rule. Lord Lansdowne expressed the strong* est misgiving at the policy foreshadowed.
