Horowhenua Meeting. Second Day. The concluding day of the Horowhenua Hack Pacing Club was held, yesterday under more favourable weather conditions than tho first day. The presence of the world-wide renowned musicians, the Besses o* th' Barn band, proved, as was confidently anticipated by the enterprising management of tho Club, a magnetic ] attraction, visitors coming from all parts of the district to hear the rare musical treat provided. The Lancashire visitors were hospitably entertained by the Club, and seemod to enjoy tho novelty o£ combining business and pleasure. The general, conduct of the meeting was admirably carried out by tho keen sportsmen who control the affairs of tho H.E.C., headed by the courteous and energetic honorary secretary, Mr Pred. 800. Mr T. Cameron, as starter, and Mr W. H. Hartgill, as judge, loft nothing to be desired in the fulfilment of their important duties. Eesults': — Levin Handicap, G furlongs, Mr G.
