Wool Sales. Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Comnany, Wellington, report that they hold*their supplementary wool salo on Friday, when they offered a catalogue of about 100 bales, chiefly oddments, seedy and inferior lots. There was a good attendance of buyers for Home and foreign account in addittion to the usual local scourers and sorters. Prices were a little irregular for tho finer wools, but for seedy and inferior fleeces, pieces, locks, I and mixed lots the bidding was better than last month at from par to -id advance. Wo got 10ad for R. and S. crossbred and 104 d for T- Q* lambs. Our muo-o of prices was : —Crossbred fleece, good medium, 9d to 10i; ditto, seedy and inferior. 74d to B;[d • clean lambs, 9d to 104 d; seedy and inferior lambs, 6VI to 84d ; pieces, 44d, to Gjd; locks, 3d to sd.
At our fortnightly sale of sheepskins, otc.,'wc offered a representative catalogue to a good attendance of buyers. Everything met with ready sale at late rates. Wo quote: — Sheepskins Coarso crossbred, short wools, Sd to Bjd: coarse crossbred, full wools, 9 jd; half-bred, 9d to lOd; crossbred. bare pelts, 7jd to 7ld; lamb skins, 9d to lOd ; dead skins, C-jd to 81d ; damaged and broken, 3d to Gid; Green skins from 3s Gd to 4s 8d; lamb skins from 3s to 4s 2d each.
Hides Only inferior lot forward. Medium ox and cow, Gd to 61d ; damaged hides from 5d to 54 d ; calf, sound, 7d to 74d; calf, damaged, 3ld to sld. Horsehair—ls Gd to 1b 8d per lb. Tallow—Good mixed in shipping condition, 27a 6d to 28s 3d for cask lots; in tins, 18s to 20s Gd; rough fat to 17s 3d per cwt.
