Notice is hereby eiven that at a special meeting of the Manawatu County Council, held at Sanson, on the 13th March, 1907, the following special orders were adopted : That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “ The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901,” and by virtue of a warrant issued under the hand of His Excellency the Governor, in terms of Section 118 of “The Public Works Act, | 1905,” dated the 14ih day of 1 member, 190 G, the Manawatu C rnty Council hereby resolves as follows : (1) That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of two thousand pounds sterling authorised to be raised by the Manawatu County Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of providing the Manawatu County Council’s share of the cost of constructing a bridge (including approaches and protective works) over the Manawatu River near Shannon, known as the Shannon Bridge, the site of the said bridge approaches and protective works being more particularly delined on the plan marked « R 2749 ” deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, We!- i lington, in the Wellington Land 1 District, and thereon shown in red j colour, such loan to be at four per centum per annum for a period of forty-one year?, the said Manawatu County Council hereby nu kes and levies a Special Rate of one-sixteenth ol a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the boundaries of the Manawatu County, and (hat such Special Rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of ; euch loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of soch loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

That the Manawatu County Council hereby declares that the undermentioned plants included in the second schedule of "The Noxious Weeds Act, 1900," ehall_ be deemed to be noxious weeds within its jurisdiction : Penny Royal (Mentha Pulogium) Hemlock (Conium Maloulatum) A meeting of the Manawatu County Council will be held at the County Offices, Sanson, on WEDNESDAY, 10th April, 1907, to confirm the foregoing Special Orders.
