DETERMINED SUICIDE.
Per Press Association. Thames, March 13.
The inquest on Thomas Mitchell, who shot himself this morning, disclosed the fact that deceased had been suffering from insomnia for a time. The unfortunate man made deliberate preparation to end his life. Ho 'restect tho shot-gun on a chair, then fastening a, string to the trigger ho passed the cord round the leg of a table, holding the gun closo to hi 3 head with his left hand, anjl pulling tho string attached to the trigger with the other. Beath was instantaneous, the top of his head being blown off. Htj was a native of Glasgow, aged 47, and possessed of considerable means.
A verdict of suicide while temporarily insano was returned.
