Treasurer Kukais, of the Revenue Department, when driving in a carnage. escorted by two policemen and several officials, was attacked in the street. Three bombs were thrown and several revolver shots fired, with the result that the driver, one official, and both policemen were killed. Tho robbers escaped with 15,000 roubles. The treasurer and four others were wounded. The Novoo Yremya says that unless the Centre and Constitutional Democrats combine to stifle the revolution tho dissolution of the Douma will be the only course open. The Social Democrats, however, scout the idea of combining with political impressionists like the Constitutional Democrats.
