MANAWATU LICENSING COMMITTEE.
important Resolution
At the quarterly meeting of the Manawatu Licensing Committee, held at Marton yesterday, a permani ent transfer was granted from W, Clarke to Arthur Paterson for Rail, way Junction Hotel, Marton. Mr Fullorton-Smith appeared fop applicant. The committee passed two im» portant resolutions as follows
1. That a balcony bo provided be. neath every bedroom window in every hotel in the Manawatu Licensing district before the nest annual annual meeting. 2. That every balcony must have an outside staircase to the ground of a sufficient width, and that the police in the district be requested to report on this matter before the annual meeting.
The motions were proposed by Mr Derry and seconded by Mr Murdoch, i- d?lie chairman expressed regret tiiai only one licensee iu the district waS present at tho meeting. ■ r '
