CANTERBURY SHEEP FAIR.
Demand far Enghu LeicestersTer Press Association, CiiiiisTCHuncn, March 8. At, the Canterbury ewe and ram fair held yesterday entries were much larger than usual. A“featnre of the gale was the demand for English Leicesters. There wore 3379 entries of this breed, and the bulk sold at 3<ms to sgus, and ordinary flock rams fromSgns to 33 gns for picked rams. There was a fair demand for Lincolns and Romneys, but merinos were barely represented and hardly noticed. Shropsliirea were well entered but not in demand, and many pens were passed; Sonthdowus were in similar case. Oorriedales had an irregular sale.
