Stock Market,
Messrs A. H. Atkinson and Co. report: —At the clearing sale held on behalf of Mr J. H. Fry, Makino Road, on Thursday, we had a large attendance from all round the district, and numerous outside buyers. The stock wore yarded in good condition and competition was particularly keen, resulting in a total clearance at excellent prices, the sale all round •being highly satisfactory. Q notations: — Sheep: 4-th, G-th and f.f.m. owes 18sto ISs 3d. 2-th ewes 20s Id, 2 and 4-th wethers 15s 9d, owe lambs 12s, wether lambs 9s Gd to 9s 7d, aged ewes 8s 3d, Lincoln rams llgns to 4lgns. Cattle; “Fat and forward bullocks £3 15s Gd to £5 9s, 18-months steers £2 15s, 21-yr heifers in 'calf .£2 10s Gd, 18-months heifers £1 18s, fat cows £4 19s Gd, cows and calves £3 9s Gd to £3 12s Gd, cows in milk £3 to £5 3s Gd, shorthorn bull £5 ss, 18-month bull £1 4s.
