The criminal sessions of the Supreme Court opened this morning, justice Chapman, addressing tho Grand Jury, said that the calendar was not- a lengthy one, but he regretted it comprised a high proportion of unusually Sserious cases. The charges on tho calendar include : Jana Martin, arson ; John Moughan and Susan Colo, attempted abortion, the wi£o Of .the farmer having died as the. result of thjalifjgodOpera tion; Thomas J. Lesley and MichaelAlexander,indecent. assault, tho latter upon his own daughter 12 years old. Accused is an old man about 75 years of ago.
