So Catley, Nelson, £2 ... . ... ... 84 This afternoon the 500yds range of the Nolsou Match (500, GOO, and 700yds) and the 900yds of tho Canterbury Match were taken. The weather was fine, but puffy, a strong wind veering from 7 degrees to tho loft rear to 7 degrees to tho right rear. This upset the shooting, and scoring was not good. The highest scorers at OOQycla were Catley, 33, and McLeod, 32; at 500yds, Nelson Match, tho highest scores wore AVelch, Opaki; Domigan, Feilding ; "Wellwood, Hawke’s Bay, and King, Opaki—33 each. Both matches will be resumed to-morrow morning. Malls, Dunedin, 60; McCalley, N.B.AV. 62; and Moore, Piako, 61, were the top scorers at tho two ranges Canterbury Match.

Tho Government do not propose to scud a teccin to Bisley this year, but may consider tho proposal to send 20 men to Melbourne to meet the team of English marksmen, visiting Australia in October. Williams, of Opawa, while cycling from the range to-night, collided with a cart and broke his arm. Ho was sent to the Wellington Hospital. The following were the highest aggregates up to tho close of to-day's shooting : Cameron, Opaki, 269 ; A. Ballinger, Petono, 2G4;"W. Ballinger, Potono, 204 ; G. Hawthorne, Petono, 261 ; Drummond, Dannovirko, 261; Prank, Nelson, '260 ; Lester, Christchurch, 200.
