Tho damage is estimated at £IO,OOO. Sydney, March 2. Government lias decided to set apart a portion of Darliughurst gaol for a trial of tho new system of treating habitual drunkenness. Habitual drunkards will now be kept in gaol for 13 mouths or longer if necessary.
