Dividends, £1 14s and £4 2s( Shannon Meeting. The annual meeting of tho Shannon Racing Club was held yesterday-. The weather was delightfully fine, but there was only a moderate attendance. There was no totalisator, but punters were accommodated by a number of odds-layers, some twelve of whom paid a fee of £3 3s for the privilege of doing business. There was a good deal of the win, tie, or wrangle about the day’s racing, and tho local race was somewhat of a fiasco. Results; — Maiden, 5 furlongs.—Sau Toy 1, Consternation 2, Cavalcade 3. Betting ; ovens San Toy. A good finish, necks only separating the placed horses. Time, Imin Bsoo. Shorts Handicap, 5 furlongs.—Kai Errin 1, Chattel 2, Belario 3. Betting: Evens winner. Won very easily by two lengths. Time, Imin 7 4-ssec. Local Race, 1 mile. —Joe 1, Kissmero 2, Picture 3. The only starters. Betting: Evens favourite. After the race the stewards met and declared it no race, on account of several jockeys being not eligible to ride in this event. Hack Scurry, 5 furlongs.—Lothair 1. Betting :2to 1 winner. Won easily. Plying Handicap, 6 furlongs—Chattel 1. Winner, 3to 1.
Final Flutter, 5 furlongs—Kai Errin 1. President’s Handicap, 6 furlongs— Detonator 1, Romney Lad 2, Lothair 3. Betting : 3 to 1 on Lothair, winner 5 to 1 against. A good finish ; won by a head. There was considerable trouble over this race owing to it being alleged that tho winner was trained by a disqualified man.
Farewell Handicap, 5 furlongs—Parvenu 1, Monsieur Beaucaire 2. Betting: Evens Monsieur Beaucaire, 3 to 1 against winner. Won comfortably at the finish.
