In addition to the Huntervillc squadron who mustered 44 strong, 10 men from the Feilding Mounted Rifles and four from the Stratford Mounted Rifles took part in the training, Captain Meldrum was in command, assisted by Lieutenants Ashworth and W. Howie and regimental Staff-Sergeant-Major 'Dovoy. In spite of ti 10 weather which, was the worst yet experienced by the corps a fairly heavy programme of work was got through. On the 19th instant the oflicor commanding the district, Lieut.-Colonel Bauchopo, inspected the camn and tested the capacity of both officers and men in some highly interesting field work.
