Rangitikei Rifle Association. Riflemen in and around Rangitikei district will be pleased to learn that an Association has been formed, with headquarters at Bulls. Hitherto riflemom have complained that they have been compelled to travel long distances to take part in competitions of this kind. This drawback has now been overcome, and a first-class range has been secured. In fact, it would be difficult to find a more suitable place for shooting than the riverbed below Bulls affords. The programme consists of four handicap range matches and a teams match. This is a splendid opportunity for young shots to gain experience, anti it is expected that a large number will avail themselves of the opportunity of competing in open company. Each match carries 17 prizes, and, being; a handicap, even the mostrinexperienced shot has a good chance; of paying his expenses. Special coaches will run to meet the morning and evening trains at Greatford, so that visitors may return after shooting. As the primary expenses in range equipment are very large it is expected that every club and corps in the vicinity will affiliate and send a strong contingent o uphold the prestige of their districts. Nominations for all matches except the teams fmatch will be received up till March 7th, after which a late fee will be charged. Programmes and a copy of the rules may be obtained on application to the Secretary.
