THE OLRIG SALE.
Messrs Williams and Kettle s Report. The Olrig sale came off on the 13th lust, for sheep and cattle, and on the 14th £Ol horses and implements. A largo and interested attendance was present. The stock came forward in good and attractive condition, and elicited prices that on all hands furnished congratulations to Messrs Smith Bros., the vendors. The sheep were parcelled out by the manager, Mr Humphries, in a most attractive manner, and this disposition assisted materially to make the sale a crowned success, prices exceeding the moat sanguine Following on a very dry season in both North and South, it was predicted that prices would rule in flavour of buyers, iortunately for the vendors, the very opposite [took place, and congratulatory remarks were afforded Mr Humphries and others connected with the get-up of the sale as to having effected a surprise. Tho following prices were realisedlß64 4-tooth ewes IGs, 1144 0tooth ewes 15s lid, IGIG fresh full-month ewes, 1000 at 13s Gd, 616 at 13s 4d, 2450 2tooth ewes, 1000 at 16s lid, GOO at IGs lOd, 850 at 16s 7d, balance 15s lid, 1150 4-tooth ewes 13s lid, 780 6 tooth ewes 14s Id, 720 fresh fall-mouth ewes, 400 nt 12s 3d, 320 at 12s 2d, 71 aged ewes in low condition ss, 410 culls 4s, 700 cull 2-tooths 13s 9d to 13s lOd, 425 cull 4, 6 and 8-tooth ewes 13s 3d, 3762-tooth wethers 13s 9d, 2690 ewe lambs 9s 7d, 490 mixed sex lambs (culls) 4s Id, 831 second grade owe lambs ■Gs Id, 1330 wether lambs, 500 at 7s 9d, 830 at 7s -id, 560 2-tpoth cull ewes 12s 9d, 85 G and 8tooth ewes 14s Id, 132 wether cull lambs 5s Id, 160 4, 6 and f.m. stud ewes 18s, 59 2-tooth stud Ilomney ewes 255.
