A GIGANTIC FRAUD.
Wholesale Whisky Smuggling. Press Association. —Copyright. London, February 17. An enormous amount of smuggling of whisky by a well-known Irish firm has been discovered. The spirit was conveyed underground by pipes from the distillery to a duty paid warehouse. The Revenue Department has imposed a penalty of £65,000. An agitation is on foot to secure prosecution of the firm.
