Old Garions arc almost j unprocurable. Only a few lots of new oats bare so far been offered, and they have been immediately picked up. i There are not nearly sufficient offering | for'repuirements and the market shows j a further hardening tendency. Wo see no immediate prospect of lower prices. It will be some time before the South- j land crop is on the market. Milling wheat. —Tuscan 3s od to 3s 7d, velvet (scarce) 3s od to 3s 7d, and | Hunter’s 3s 5d to 3s 6d, f.o.b. There | has been a rather brisk demand during the past week, caused byjmillers whoso j stocks had run down having been ope- , rating freely. Fowl wheat. —Good whole 3s 4a to 3s did. Prices are if anything a shade easier, although there is still good ] enquiry. _ : Barley. —Feed quality 2s 9d to 3s 1 f.o.b.si., and in good demand. | Bycorn. —Konue available. _ _ “ i Bran, 80s not, but an early rise is 1 expected. The supply is very scarce. There is a big local demand as dairyI men are now using to feed their stock, f the grass paddocks being practically . I bare. Millers cannot supply anything I I like requirements. § Pollard. —(Unprocurable. Present } price nominally 100 s. | Linseed. Medium £ll to £l3, I lower grades £lO to £ll. In good | demand. | Ryegrass. —301 bss9d to os, ~Blb 4s 13dto 5s 6d, 261 b4s lid to 5s 3d. The | market is still booming. Merchants I are giving up to 4s 6d at country istations for undressed seed. The I duality of some of the seed is very fine. | There is very little old seed now oiferI/ 1 Italian. —Well marked machine | dressed seed 4s 7d, medium 4s4dto 4s | 7d ; Is 2d at country stations has been I paid by merchants for undressed seed S badly marked, f Cocksfoot,—l9lb 5d to Srjd, iSlb fj'-cl, 171 b 4fd to sd, I6lb 4Jd to 4.R1, I 14,1 b 4J,d to 41d.
