Press Association. Christchurch, February 12. The Exhibition Baud Contest was continued this morning when a start was made in tho “ own choice ” selection competition. Twenty-nine bands entered and were drawn to play in the following order :—1 Tuapeka, 2 Masterton Municipal, 3 Dcnniston, 4 Invercargill Municipal, 5 Napier Garrison, 6 Nelson Garrison, 7 Palmerston North, 8 Wools ton, 9 Oamarn Garrison, 10 Kaikorai, 11 Jupp’s (Wellington), 12 Auckland First Battalion, 13 Auckland Garrison, 14 Derry’s Private (Christchurch), 13 Gisborne City, 16 Groymouth Battalion, 17 Timaru Garrison, 18 Knahino Battalion, 19 Timaru Garrison, 20 Hastings Town, 21 Invercargill Garrison, 22 Newcastle City, 23 Dunedin . Citizens, 24 Mornington, 35 Taranaki Garrison,, 2G Wellington Garrison, 2? Waihi Federal, 2S Dunedin Navals, 29 Wanganui Garrison. Play was continued throughout tho day and evening.
