A NEW MEAT BRAND.
Per Press Association. Chuistcecech, February 12. A successful trial has been made of a new meat brand, invented by Messrs G. W. Eusselland Gilbert Anderson. The British Government forbids branding meat imports with any kind of ink, and the, object of the inventors was to provide a band to meet Government requirements and yet bo effective. The brand is a device embossed on a mallet, and the mallet is struck on the carcase. The sheep experimented on was placed for 36 hours in the freezer, and came out with as perfectly fresh as when it was struck.
