Paris February lb Tho French torpedoev LThaont, with members of tho Supervising Commission aboard, was undergoing finishing speed trials when a terrific boiler explosion occurred, accompanied by a rush of flames. Kino out of eleven engineers, artificers, and sailors in the engine room were killed, their bodies being frightfully burned.
