Wanganni Wool, Skin and Hide Sales.
Messrs Lcrin & Co. in conjunction with. Messr* Freeman E. Jackson & Co. report: We held our monthly sale yesterday, offering 150 bales, fadges and bags of wool, 1800 skins, 400 hides and calfskins, and a quantity of tallow, etc. There was a fair attendance of i buyers. Prices for hides showed an adrance on last quotations, while wool and sheepskins were somewhat easier. We quote—Wool: Crossbred S.',d to 83d, lambs 8d to 8 : ;d, dead 7id to 7i|-d, crutchingsi:id to s*d, locks and pieces 3|d to 4id. Feilding Earn Fair., in conjunction | with the other auctioneers us lollops : | A good entry of Eonineys and Lincoins I came forward, most lots selling readily under the hammer. The demand for , Komneys was not so good as antici- j pated, only good animals selling at j satisfactory figures. There was si keen demand for Loth Lincoins and Southdowns. English Leicester* uiul Shropshire sold fairly well, but there were no buyer.* for Border Leicester*, every line being passed in. Quotations— Stud ilonmeys, 10, 12 and lOgs ; Flock Eomneys, 3, 31, 4. i\, o, C>, S andOgs; Flock Lincoln?, ul, sv-, 6,7, and llgs ; Southdowns,'.t, 5,51, 5:,'. G and English Leicester*, 3 and 3igs ; Shropshire*, 1,2, 2i and 3gs. Stock Market. Dalgety and Co.. Ltd., report having held their usual fortnightly sale at Al'arton on the Bth instant. Entries comprised a good yarding of sheep and a small yarding of cattle. There was a keen inquiry for lambs of all descriptions, and there was also a very fair inquiry for ewes. Cattle sold well. "With the exception of one small pen of ewes the whole yarding was sold under the hammer.
