The second day of the Gisborne Pacing Club’s Summer meeting was held in tine ■weather, Results; — County Stakes, 1 mile—Terahui 1, Gladsmnir 2, Hinctitamata and Rcny, dead heat 3. Also started: Sarilla, Bruiser, Spun Yarn, Haniti. Won by a length. Time, Imin 4‘lsoc. Divs, £3 9s and £1 19s. Maiden Scurry, 5 furlongs—Ruanui and Amusement, dead heat 1, San Crup 3. Also started: Blue River, Bandsman, Lady Ainslie, Glennfric, Eamoiino, Joker, Matiti. Amusement got a big advantage at the start, but there was a splendid liiiijh. Time, lmiu 4 3-ssec. Divs, £7 4s and £1 17s. Handicap Hurdles, ly mile —Morpeth 1, Faro 2, Taniwha 3. Cinque also started but fell Wou by two lengths. Time, 3min IS 3-r>sec. Div, £-1 lis, Electric Handicap, 5 furlongs—Marangai 1, Contender 2, Gladsmuir 3. Also started; Aral, To Uru, Creeping Jane. Won by a length. Time, Imin 2 3-ssco, Div, £2 10s. Second Hack, 7 furlongs—Lady Bobina 1, Water o’ Milk 2, Flag 3. Bamuana also started. Won easily by two lengths. Time, j Imin 31 2-osee. Div, £G 12s. I Grand Stand Handicap, 1 mile and distance —Black Reynard 1, Reservoir 2, Immolation 3. Also started : Freeland, Lady Warwick, Oasis. Won by a length. Time, 2min 1 3-ssec. Divs, £2 Is and £1 13s. An inquiry was held concerning the use of bad and threatening language by e jockey now under probation in connection with a like offence, and it was resolved to suspend his license for six months. The amount put through the totalizator for the two days was £ll,ui'3, as against £9504 last year.
