THE VANCOUVER SERVICE.

Postmaster-General Chapman has received intimation from Mr Mills, chairman of the Union S.S. Coy., that ho intends to wait on Mr Chapman to discuss the Vancouver mail service. Mr Chapman explains that there is a dilliculty in the way of continuing the service as it is not greatly availed of for postal purposes. Air Chapman had an interview with Sir Joseph Ward on the subject. The Postmaster-General is anxious to continue the service, not only from a trade standpoint, but because it is part of the all-red line. Mui-.kotjp.ne, February 7.
Mr Chapman paid Brisbane had never valued the Vancouver service, while New Zealand was greatly interested. If a continuation is arranged Brisbane may be left out and steamers call in New Zealand.
