It invokes the Divine blessing on all “ our faithful subjects for bravely bearing aloft more firmly than ever in misfortune the banner of our Holy right, despite the bitterest persecutions.” The Cologne Gazette declares that only the Duke of Cumberland could have been responsible for the publication of the will and bids the Guelphs of Hanover and Brunswick ask themselves how this provocative publication can bo reconciled with the Duke’s professions of loyalty to the Empire.
