Duxedtx February G. At the inquest on Vv’. K. Hutchison, who was attacked by a shark at Aloeraki a verdict of death from the effects of the liito of a shark while bathing, was re-
turned. The evidence showed that ho was standing in water up to his chest and his son was diving I'nnu his shoulders, when ho was attacked by the shark. The calf of his right Fg was torn coTupletely away. He managed to partly swim and was assisted to shore, which he reached in a dying condition, and expired almost immediately, although his into rendered first aid. The bay is infested with sharks.
