WOOL FIRES’ COMMISSION.

Press Association. Wellington, February 6. Tho Wool Fires’ Commission to-day took the evidence of Captain Forsdeck, of the steamer Oravi, who was master of tiro Waimato when two separate fires broke out in the cargo of that vessel. Tiro fire, ho said, broke out among the flax and tow that was not near any wool. When water was put down tho hold heating was evident in a very short time. In second fire five bales wore burned. Tills wool had boon shipped at Lyttelton. One halo when hoisted on deck burst into flame.
