Dalgely and Co., Ltd., have received the following cables from London, dated /ml iust.: — „ . , Butter—Too Copenhagen crucial quot..tlon is unchanged. The market is dun especially for finest qualities. The total amount of butter imported into the umtea Kingdom for the week ending January 26th amounted to 90,000 cwt, as compared with 90,0000 wt for the corresponding week ° £ Tallow—Prices in general are higher hy 6d to Is per cwt. Even now the maiket for goods on the spot is lower than c-i.t-Wheat— The market is steady, but theis is not much doing. Hides— Leathers and basns .remain unchanged. Stock Market. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Johneonvillo sale as follows :—A small entry of bullocks, tl.c bulk was of good quality, tlmothcrs small and medium sorts. The market was only fair:—Beef mado up to 21s, rough sorts 20s, best bullocks AS 7s Gd to AS 1-s Gd others ABto AS ss, light A 7 os. A good yarding of sheep mostly prime and including some extra heavy wethers Best wethers 17s Gd, others ICs Od to 17s 3d, ewes 14s to 14s 3d, others 13s 4(1, woolly lambs, prime 14s 2d, shorn 12s 2d.
