Per Press Association. Dunedin, February 1, A shocking accident occurred at Port Moemki to-day, when William Henry Hutcheson, Civil engineer and surveyor, mot with his death under most distressing circumstances. Ho was bath-
ing with Jiia sou this morning, in about throe feet of water, when lie suddenly Raid “(lot ashore quickly, lam bitten.” it seems that ho had been bitten l>y a shark, the Ik'sh of the right log being .stripped to the hone. Ho struggled ashore, hut died almost immediately from shock and loss of blood. Ho was CD years of ago, and loaves a wife and two sous. The incident was witnousod by his wife and mother,
