Vv harf labourers obtained increases for day work of 12 to 14 per cent., and for night -work o.'i per cent. Unionists p,re given preference over non-union-ists, ship owners having the right to fill up with non-unionists if the supply of unionists is short. Overtime rate is fixed at two shillings. A board of conciliation consisting of three representatives on each side is provided.
