FEILDING A. & P. ASSOCIATION.
The promoters of the Feilding industrial & A. & P. Association could not fail to be proud of the pleasing results of their prevision as realized by the co-operative efforts of many willing workers, as they walked on to the Show Ground this morning. The evidence of success in an increasing degree was evident on every side; by the number and class of exhibits, and the rapidly growing crowd of people on the ground. Though it was admitted that the Feilding district, by the excellent quality of its land, whether agricultural or pastoral, was, perhaps, more suitable than any other in Kew Zealand to produce stock of a superior quality, as well as crops of every kind, specimens of which were well worthy of exhibition, yet not a few' influential settlers had serious doubts as to the advisability of organizing a Show in such close proximity to what.may be termed the great Show of the colony. But experience has given an unmistakable indication that the local Show till: a Jwant, and that its importance wil grow with the increase of productiveness in the district. In view of the large number of pedigree sheep and cattle breeder* in tie district it is no matter of surprise that the flocks and herds are so well represented, and here we hare, with the horses and swine, the exhibits which chiefly interest farmers. It will be noted that several important additions have been made on the ground for the greater convemcnrc of exhibitors, including permanent pens and the new &how ring. Without doubt much of the success of the Association is due to the assistance of Feilding Jockey Ulub; on whose beautiful grounds the Show is being held. EXHIBITS. Among other exhibits Messrs A. H.
