THE HOLLOWAY SEASON.
_ * A Remarkable Event. Wherever " Two Little Vagabonds," the play in which the Holloway Company will appear at the Marton Opera House on Monday, February 4, has been staged it has attracted crowded homes. Without being in the leait degree namby-pamby, it haa from the first enjoyed the patronage of the clergy equally with the laity. Based upon human sorrow, it conveys lessons of .humanity that are as wholesome as the morning air. Necessarily attention has to be largely focussed on the pathos which makes it stand out among plays of its kind. But there is a distinctly light side to the play, and one leaves the theatre after a performance ofjit feeling refreshed and >-trengthened because of its beautiful and sympathetic sentiment. The caste is a heavy one, but g;;od throughout. Miss Beatrice Holbway and Miss Mabel Eussell, as the two " Vags.," are absolutely at their best, and the other characters include several that are of a far more than oruni:;:-y interest. This fine play will U- |..-; formed in Marton on Monday night only. On Tuesday and Wednesday tin- company appear in FeiiJing (Shmv nights), when "The Coal King" md "The Shadows of a Great City" will be staged. Seats for " Two Little Vagabonds " can be reserved at Hogridge's. Popular prices, 3s, 2s, and Is, will be charged.
