With the object of founding a professorship of home economies, or domestic science, on the plan extensively m vogue in the I nited States of America, Mr John Studholnit, of Coldstream, has ollered to eoutribuute for three years a sum of £2OU per annum towards the salary of a professor, provided Miss Gilchrist, of Tennessee LTiiversitv, is appointed. Mr Studholme has placed his oiler before tho Minister for Education and the Governors of Canterbury College.
