Stock Market.
Dalgety and Co., Ltd., held their usual weekly, sale at Feilding on Friday, 25th inst., "when they submitted a good entry of sheep and a fair entry of cattle. There wju, a good demand tor sheep which sold well, but the demand for cattle was not so great. Q notations .—2-year steers £2, fat cows .£3, 2 and 4-tooth wethers 1 ts 9d to Iss Sd, forward ewes 13s, aged ewes lls, shorn lambs 8s 3d to 10s, cull lambs 6s. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report having held a sale at Levin on the 23rd inst. Entries comprised a fair varding of sheep and a good yarding of cattle. Buyers were present in good numbers and competition was keen for all lots, practically the whole yarding being disposed of. 5V c quote as follows; Sheep : Fat wethers 15s Id to 10s sd, fat ewes 13s 4d, store ewes in low condition 10s, inferior woolly lambs Ga Id. Cattle : 18-month steers £3 4s, 2-year-old steers £2 15s, 3-year-old steers £3 to £3 (is, forward bullocks £C 10s, yearling heifers 23s (id, IS-mouth heifers £1 12s fid, calves £1 15s, empty cows £2, forward cows £3 Is to £3 10s, fat cows £5 Bs.
