FARMERS' UNION.
The quarterly meeting of Knutcrvillc branch, was lield on Saturday last. In the absence of the Branch Chairman Air James Jlovne was voted to tho chair. The chief business that came up for discussion was how to raise funds to make a firm stand against the proposed! Land Bill. It was resolved ou the motion of Air i li. gAlcGregor, seconded by Air Simpson, That subscription lists be opened aud that Messrs James iiowie, James Aiken, A. G. Simpson and the Secretary' be appointed collectors.
