TAIHAPE NOTES.
(From Our Own Correspondent.)
A cricket matcli was played on Sunday on the Taihape oval between Xgarikihu and Taoroa, which ended in a ° hollow victory for Ngarikihn. Ngarikihu went to the wickets, and when 13:! hud been scored for five wickets the captain declared ihe inma'TS eloped. Taoroa then took +L, wickets and put together -M, U of which werohyes. Ngarikihu is particularly strong this season. Among their eleven is ore who is a team in himself, Shackl.ick, .who at onetime played for Nottingham. Meawhango also defeated Taihapo at Moawhango. but I think anotlicr tale would have to bo told if time had allowed the match to bo played out, as Taihape iiad six good men left to make 15 required to win.
