Wellington Summer Meeting.
This meeting commences to-morrow, and given fine weather a record attendance of “ sports ” from all parts should be recorded. The second, day s racing takes place on Thursday, the meeting concluding on Saturday. The following are my selections : _ Trentham Hurdles, lf-miles.—Lull or Maui. ' Anniversary Handicap, one mile. — Grand Slam or Riflemaid. Ruapehu Hack, 6 furlongs.—Mahuta or Chicane. Wellington Cup, U-miles.—Achilles or Apa. . , Telegraph Handicap, six furlongs.— Munjeet or King Billy. Tongariro Hack, one mile.—Compass or Devonia. Nursery Handicap, four furlongs. Finery or English Rose. Electric Handicap, five furlongs.— Golden Gale or Replete.
