Complaints have been made to the Executive of the Political Labour Council that certain members of the Federal and State Parliamentary labour parties assisted Ministerialists at the Federal elections where labour candidates were in the field as opponents. It was held that if members had not themselves been chosen by the Labour Council they would not have got into Parliament they were therefore merely spokesmen for tho party, and for them to advance the interests of candidates contesting seats in opposition to labour candidates was a gross misuse of the power which labour members held in trust. The secretary was instructed to write to offending members.
