CANADA AND THE U.S.A.
Press Association—-Copyright, Ottawa, January 10. ■ Sir Wilfrid Lanrier states that he is willing to negotiate with the United States for the permanent determination of the division of the waters from the Pacific to the Atlantic Oceans on the principle of give and take. He does not expect the United States will make any trade concessions, and states that the opinion is expressed unanimously on both sides of the Canadian Commons that the privilege of participation in ths Canadian coasting trade ought to be withdrawn from the United States.
