At Special Meetings of the Ranginkei County Council, held on the L 9 th day of December, 1906, resolutions were passed making and levyng Special Rates for the payment of ntorest and other charges on special oans authorised to be raised by the Jouncil as follows : 1. A Special Rate of Jd in the pound sterling in the Wairano Spejial Rating District, to provide in;erest, etc., on a loan of £l2O, being 10 % additional upon the loan of 61200 raised for the Wairano and Puhirua roads. 2. A Special Rate of £d in the pound sterling in the Union Special Rating District to provide interest, etc., on a loan of £IOO for metalling a portion of the Union Line. Each of the above Special Loans are to be for a period of 41 years, and the interest to be paid thereon at the rate of 4 per % per annum.
