EXHIBITION ORCHESTRA.
Per Press Association. Wellington', January 13. The Hon. Hall-Jones has informed Mr Scott, South Australian Comnfissiqnei; tq the Exhibition, that,'the Government is prepared to release) tfie Exhibition orchestra fqr one week in order to visit Wellington and give a series of concerts. It is stipulated that the orchestra must Como, if at all, at its own risk and expense, or that the Wellington public shall finance the trip. It is believed there will be no difficulty in obtaining tho required guarantee of about .£3OO. In half an hour yesterday Mr A. H. Miles, of Murray, Roberts & Co., obtained promise of sums totalling about ,£IOO.
